Forgiving is many times very difficult in life although it is essential for Marriage Restoration. What even seems to be more difficult is forgiving our close loved ones and spouses for past hurts and pains. Because we hold our loved ones close to us and their decisions and actions effect us greatly in ways that do not effect us when others outside of them do things toward us, it becomes an even more difficult task for most of us. In order to succeed with Marriage Restoration it is very crucial that we forgive no matter how wrong something may feel. There are 4 steps to help you and your spouse to move the past in the past, place forgiveness on the table and embrace Marriage Restoration.

- Be sure to reflect on your own personal relationship with God, then commit to God’s Will with your spouse, as well as individually. Making sure you are in right relationship with God is the foundation of committing to His Will. By being in right relationship with Him, you are able to hear Him speak to you, your life and your marriage.

2) Agree to tell the truth from this point on, with no lies. Honesty is imperative and builds trust back into the relationship so that doubt no longer resides.

Step 3 – Respect each others feelings by allowing each other to express thoughts, ideals and concerns without being interrupted or attacked.

Step 4 – Agree to bury the past and never bring it up again. Pray over it and move forward. Bringing God in the equation as the foundation of your new action plan is like the icing on the cake and the filling. He is the one that will supply you with the strength, wisdom and patience to endure through the Marriage Restoration process.

Marriage Restoration and forgiveness go hand and hand. God’s desire for us is reconciliation which happens during Marriage Restoration. Having a solid action plan is necessary to alleviating some of the hardships of forgiving during Marriage Restoration. As Jesus Christ is our example, modeling Him as He forgives, just as He did when he died and saved us in the midst of our sin, we too must forgive.

Matthew 6:14-15 For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.

I’VE HAD TWO FRIENDS NOW who’ve sought my help regarding what to say when witnessing as to the glory and purpose of God to non-Christian friends overseas and I must admit I struggled to know what to advise them. The old ‘be God in skin to them’ doesn’t work so well from thousands of miles away when there are only wires or technology connecting us. I must admit my ignorance in that regard.

So just how do we help those to recognise God’s hand in their lives?

Well, the above question is a good starting point. It’s a point of self-recognition that has to occur in them before the Holy Spirit can actually work–the vessel must be willing.

Many people will become more curious about God when they’re suffering; they’ll want to know how God can allow these things; ‘Why them?’

These are not easy questions to answer and not having an answer is more credible than rolling out a platitudinous clich?. (Even Bible verses used inappropriately are clich?.) It would be better to gently assist the awakening of their awareness, for without their awareness, the whole “mission” is doomed for failure.

There’s the awareness that this creator God exists, that he created, and goes on creating each day–his creation sustaining itself. There’s the awareness that the truth and wisdom of God are eternal; that nothing stops it, and even the naturally occurring universal laws give powerful testimony of his overabundant grace and omnipresence. There’s the awareness that something evil happened to upset the balance–and to restore that balance the pre-destined plan of Jesus was enacted. There’s the awareness that Jesus came to die on the cross, not only to absolve our sin, but to provide the final victory over spiritual evil. We hence have spiritual hope. There’s also the awareness of our sin (their sin) and that only Jesus, through his shed blood on the cross, can save them–once they understand the theology.

But, this is often the catch. Words, themes and concepts enter often too early, when it is our heart for God, our patience, love, kindness and generosity they most need to see or feel.

How they see their lack and their need of God is crucial–finally the light of day beckons upon them and the keys to unlocking their inner heart are presented them. God is seen as presenting the offer of salvation–the free and priceless gift; the gift that we were fundamentally born to receive. God is hence thanked! And then worshipped and served. Life takes on a totally fresh context. We know how it changed for us. We began to live truthfully, able to make the harder decisions; God shoring up the walls of our integrity.

We mustn’t forget our own stories and experiences. If we’ve established trust we mustn’t sacrifice it easily on risky moves–we’re patient, trusting God that they’ll come to him–and he’ll reveal himself to them more fully–in good time.

The greatest thing about God–in my opinion–is he will exist way beyond us and he will achieve his purposes despite us; he doesn’t need us the way we think he needs us, but we are still his instruments in ‘the now.’ We still have this innate purpose to ‘spread the Word.’

We must remember also, this very important fact. People cannot be truly saved without first understanding and accepting their own sin and their own part in the fall–and the crucifixion of the Saviour; for without this understanding the need of a Saviour is not known or internalised.

Whose sins require the need for saving? This is a personal realisation at the level of the Holy Spirit within us–the most important event in our personal history.

Later that day, my mom told me that she’d gotten a call from a friend whose son had been given candy in the park by a girl (with my description). He’d eaten it all before he got home because he knew his mom wouldn’t let him have it, but what he didn’t know was that he was really allergic to something in the candy. He’s in the hospital now, but the scary part is over and he’ll live.

So all you people out there, my mom says not to bribe someone into hearing about God, and I say, listen to what she said. Oh, and make sure people aren’t allergic to anything before you give it to them!

o Witness #2

So, I’m like, sitting with my friends at lunch, and God says to me, “Dude, you gotta tell these guys about Me.” So I like, suddenly stand up and yell, “Hey, do you love God?” I have to yell because they’re all making all kinds of crazy noise.

All the punks look at me like I’m crazy and say, “No.” One dude was like, laughin’ at me, so I got filled with the Holy Spirit and picked up my Bible and nailed him on the head with it. Then I opened it and smeared his face in it and said, “Accept Jesus, NOW! I love Jesus, and you’d better, too, if you don’t want to burn in hell! If you don’t have the Bread of Life, you’re gonna be toast, punk!” The principle of the school wasn’t filled with the Holy Ghost like I was, so I got expelled for a week.

o Witness #3

I decided that I needed to get out and do me some soul-winning. I dressed up how I thought a soul-winner should dress, prepared me some ideas, grabbed my big Bible (because I’m not ashamed of the Gospel) and set out the door.

Well, after positioning myself in a certain place, I didn’t think I’d have long to wait before a sinner came along, and I was right. A man came along, so I stepped in his path and struck my soul-winner’s stance. I immediately jumped into my conversion speech. “Do you know if you were to die tonight, would you live in heaven with Jesus forever?”

The man was obviously going to blow me off, so I immediately continued. (I know that if I get the Word out, it won’t come back empty) “That’s what I thought, SINNER! You’d better turn or burn! You’d better get right or you’re gonna get left! You’d better get sanctified or you’re gonna get chicken fried! You’d better get glorified or you’re gonna get french fried! You’d better get in the know, or to hell you’ll go!” I then began a series of awful cries and screams.

“Do you know what that sound is? That is the voices of those who didn’t repent and are in a place where they cannot return; a place that is meant for them– where you’ll go, SINNER! Your soul is as dark as your shirt, you pagan! You need Jesus! So what do you have to say for yourself?”

The man jumped in with an answer (like I wasn’t going to let him talk or something), “Listen, man, if you’d have given me a minute earlier, I would have told you that I’m a believer, too. In fact, don’t we go to the same church?”

I turned around and went back home.

Although zeal for God is important, there are certain approaches that should never be used in evangelism. It is important to learn the proper approaches so that negative confrontation can be avoided. In today’s culture it seems that fewer people know anything about God or the Bible, so it would be a mistake to jump in with condemnation and hell. They should first see the holiness of God so when they are confronted with sin, they’ll see how ugly it is before a holy God. In order for them to see the love of God, a loving approach must be taken. If you want to be heard, speak the truth in love so that they will want to listen, and may God give you courage.

By: Pastor Ranches L Hall

There are things that happens in each of our lives from time to time that are just to unexplainable, regardless of how much we try to understand, somethings we experience in life are beyond our Human understanding. The effects of these moments or experiences can have a lasting effect on each of our lives.and depending on the out come of our experiences some of us may become bitter rather then better. If there is anything that we must learn in life we must learn to face our storms and challenges in life.Knowing what the Word Of God Proclaims in Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,to them who are the called according to his purpose. What we must always keep in mind is that everything that we experience in life has purpose regardless of how bad things may become or how tragic things may get.it really does not matter what people say or what people think.Something good will always come out of what we see as tragic or a bad experience.we must learn to see our storms and tragic experiences through the eyes of God (Jesus Christ) We must realize that every tragic moment can become a moment of triumph. It was through the Suffering of Jesus Christ That we were Redeemed,It was through the suffering Shade Blood Of Jesus Christ And The Cross Of Calvary that we’ve been Delivered And Set Free From Our Sin.Thank God For that Cross of Calvary,Regardless Of how tragic that event may have seem at that time, it was through that glorious event at calvary that we were Saved,Redeemed and set free by the Precious Blood Of Jesus Christ.I Know someone may read this blog and say here go’s one of those nutty Preachers again,But let me say this, God does allow certain things to happen and God does Causes Certain Things to happen so regardless of how things may seem to be. God is Always in control regardless of what is taking place around us. He’s Always in control even when things are Chaotic. so as Tragic as the Earthquake in Haiti was, God was and is Still in control. every now then I Believe God allows things to happen, so some of us can realize just precious life really is, Sometimes in life we forget about what’s really important in Life. every now and then He Allows us to get Shaking Up a little bit, so we can learn to Appreciate the things that matters the most in Life.Remember as tragic as this moment maybe in Haiti God is Bringing Some good out of this most sad and tragic Experience.Haitis Remember God Is On Your Side From Tragedy To Triumph!

                                                          Can You Handle It?

By Pastor Lawrence Jackson

Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
James 1:15 KJV

“I can handle it!” How many persons are playing with a pet sin in their lives believing they can handle things before becoming enslaved to it? The person, who has exhausted all of their life savings at the Casino started out saying, “I know just how far to go.” The alcoholic thought he could handle it; “I know my limit.” The adulterer said, “it was just a mutual companionship.” The substance abuser thought he would never get addicted.
A Texas newspaper carried the account of a seven-month-old infant bitten and crushed to death by an eight-foot long pet python that crawled into her crib. According to Unite Press International the baby was asphyxiated in about five minutes, with the snake squeezing the breath from her lungs.
The python left a series of needle-fine puncture wounds on the child’s face. It had escaped from its glass cage in the living room and slithered into the bedroom where she and her 5-year old sister were asleep.
A short time after the attack the parents found the snake, which they purchased as a family pet curled up on a wooden shelf above the baby’s crib. An angry and hysterical father grabbed the seven-pound python and wrestled it into his bedroom. He stabbed it with a knife, shot it with a .25 caliber pistol, then partially cut off the head with a kitchen knife and threw its pieces back into the room with the dead child.
Just when you think you got your pet sin under control, it will turn out to be the python in your life. “…and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”
Can you handle it? ONLY if you say no to SIN.
